Farmhouse Style DIY
After blogging about my favorite Farmhouse Style Decorating Ideas, I decided to explore simple farmhouse style DIY projects that I could pull off with no sweat. I am not the handiest person around, but I am attracted to crafts that I can use to beautify my home.

The whole point of these DIY ideas is to add a warm and rustic feel to any room, without spending a lot of money. They do not require much outside of a few major materials or re-purposed accessories.
Before we move on to the farmhouse style DIY ideas: I’m also thrilled to have come across this book by Liz Fourez. It has the most creative and straightforward farmhouse DIY projects you can find. The greatest part is that she has all these beauties in her house – which she will open up to you in this book.
Farmhouse Style DIY Projects From Various Homes
Enamel Mug Organizer
How I envy these creatives, who can dream up crafts within seconds! Fortunately for the rest of us, they are kind enough to share their creations with us, like this enamel mug organizer from Homeroad. Enamel mugs are a common sight (if not necessary) in country and farmhouse kitchens.

It was only a matter of time before someone does something so useful and beautiful with these. Am I the only one with nostalgia?
The enamel mug organizer can hold anything from kitchen cloths to being pot plants (the top one). Click on the image and find out how easy it is to do this farmhouse style DIY project.
Farmhouse Produce Rack
This cute farmhouse style DIY project resonates with me deeply. First, because it is easy to make, and secondly because I need it. My produce racks are currently in the kitchen cabinets. I find that some things like avos and bananas go off too quickly because of the lack of air and light. An open air rack is what I need right now, and I may just try this one.
Hanging Mason Jars
Hanging Mason jars are popular with rustic farmhouse decor ideas. The use of simple items is a consistent thing with farmhouse style DIY ideas. One can make these from scratch or buy them ready to hang.
Side Table Makeover
Weathered and distressed finishes quickly transform decor into that of the farmhouse style. That’s what the folk from Refresh Style did with what seems to be an ugly side table. It is surprising how easy it is to achieve the weathered look. It is easy enough to make me never to throw away old furniture again.
Shiplap a room
For farmhouse enthusiasts, being able to shiplap one’s wall is a valuable skill. It transforms any room into a rustic, farmhouse theme. I blogged about it under “Farmhouse Style Decor In Bathrooms.” My quick solution involves a shiplap themed wallpaper, but it seems that one can learn to make this themselves. Courtney shows us just how easy and cheap it is to do.
Canvas Farmhouse Sign
What if, I were to put it to you that Meredith designed this farmhouse sign by herself? and she will be sharing with you how to put it together? One can buy the sign (as shared in Meredith’s blog), or go an extra mile and design your sign (I’d go for the former). I’m also impressed by her background creamy, and light colors that she has used in her house.
Have fun trying out these farmhouse style DIY decor projects. I have my eyes set on the produce rack and the enamel mug project? What are you trying out in order to add some charm and rustic into your home? Please do share, comment or pin.
